1. Current launch status
At initial launch, ex.gold is primarily a public marketplace and storefront experience. We do not currently provide customer signup, customer registration or customer account dashboards on this marketplace site.
Because of that, most visitors will not have an ex.gold customer account for us to delete. We may still process limited data such as enquiry emails, support messages, analytics data, security logs, cookie identifiers or seller-provided storefront data.
This page is provided now so visitors, buyers, sellers and future account users have a clear deletion request path as the marketplace evolves.
2. What data can be deleted
You can ask us to delete personal data we hold about you, including where applicable:
- Marketplace account or profile data if account features are available to you.
- Contact, support or enquiry records you sent directly to ex.gold.
- Third-party login identifiers if we add login features such as Google, Facebook or similar providers.
- Cookie or analytics identifiers where we can reasonably identify and delete them.
If your data was provided to a seller through an enquiry, order or storefront interaction, the seller may also hold its own copy. You may need to contact that seller directly.
3. How to request deletion
Send your request to privacy@ex.gold from the email address connected with your enquiry, account or interaction where possible.
Suggested subject
ex.gold data deletion request
Please include enough information for us to find the relevant data, such as:
- Your name and email address.
- The storefront, seller, listing or enquiry the request relates to, if relevant.
- Whether you want all eligible data deleted or only a specific record.
4. Third-party login data
ex.gold does not currently offer customer signup or third-party customer login on the public marketplace. If we add login providers such as Facebook, Google or Apple, you may request deletion of the login identifier and related ex.gold account data using the process above.
You can also remove ex.gold access from the relevant provider account settings. Removing access at the provider may stop future sharing, but it may not delete data already received by ex.gold. Email us if you also want eligible data deleted from our systems.
5. What happens next
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a deletion request. This helps protect your data from unauthorised deletion.
Once verified, we will review the request, delete or anonymise eligible data, and confirm the outcome where appropriate. Some deletion may take additional time to flow through backups, logs and provider systems.
If we cannot delete certain data, we will explain why where legally permitted. We may instead restrict, anonymise or retain it only for required purposes.
6. Limits on deletion
Deletion rights may be limited where we need to retain data to:
- Comply with legal, tax, accounting, audit or regulatory obligations.
- Detect, prevent or investigate fraud, abuse, security incidents or policy breaches.
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Maintain records that belong to sellers or third parties who independently control that data.
